Kid’s Rooms
The kids and teens will be divided into five different rooms, primarily based on age. I have already kept siblings together when they requested to be together, and I also honored requests from siblings who preferred to be in separate rooms.
I received more than 100 requests for friends to be placed together, which is incredible! While it wasn't possible to coordinate every request in advance, I wanted to make the process as flexible as possible.
I've created a live Google Spreadsheet that lists everyone currently assigned to each room. If your child or teen would prefer to be in a different room, simply complete the room change form at the bottom of this page. I'll update the spreadsheet as quickly as possible so everyone can see changes in real time.
You'll notice that each room is made up primarily of the same age group, with a few younger or older siblings included where needed.
If your child or teen would like to switch rooms, please complete the room change form below, and I'll take care of it as soon as I can.
When the kids arrive, they will not have assigned tables. Instead, the room leaders will help everyone form table groups using the following process:
First, siblings who want to sit together will be grouped together.
Next, kids and sibling groups who are attending Higgy Con for the first time—or who don't know anyone yet—will gather on one side of the room. Returning Higgy Con kids and teens will gather on the other side.
Each new attendee will first be paired with a returning Higgy Con buddy so that every child has an immediate friend and someone to help them feel welcomed and included throughout the weekend.
After buddy pairs have been made, returning attendees can reconnect with their friends while making sure their new buddy is included. New attendees are also welcome to sit with new friends they meet during the grouping process.
Each table will have approximately 10 kids or teens.
The boys will be encouraged to sit together so they can get to know one another, and they'll also have a special boys-only breakout session hosted by Lauren during the weekend.
